Hi-Tech In Wild Africa

Matt is the narrator for the new 6-part TV series ‘Hi-Tech In Wild Africa’.

The series from Thinktank Digital (Producer: Robin Newell) is currently in post-production.  Filmed across Africa, the series shows at first hand some of the initiatives now under way in Africa to develop and use technology to build new bridges with the animal world – bridges that can be crossed in both directions, allowing each to help the other in unprecedneted ways.

Controversial and sometimes bizarre, ‘Hi-Tech In Wild Africa’ is a unique insight into the world of those rare individuals working on the frontline of where animals and technology merge.

W;t

Matt has been cast as Dr. Kelekian (an oncologist) in the play W;t at the New Theatre in Newtown, Sydney.  The play runs from 10th June to 10th July 2010 and will be directed by Jane Eakin.

W;t is a play by Margaret Edson about Vivian Bearing, an unmarried, renowned professor of English in her 50s, who has devoted her life to rigorous academic pursuits.  When Vivian is diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer she determines to battle this illness using the same methodical and rational approach she uses in her work. In an attempt to beat the disease, Vivian embarks on a radical treatment program. The health professionals she encounters view her as little more than a medical experiment and she gradually realises that she would much prefer kindness and compassion to intellect. As she tries to reconcile mind and body, Vivian comes to appreciate what is truly valuable in her life.
